Ascorbic Acid

Ascorbic Acid also known as vitamin C, is an essential nutrient required for the growth, development, and repair of tissues in the body. It is a water-soluble vitamin and an antioxidant that helps protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. It is found naturally in fruits and vegetables, especially citrus fruits, kiwi, strawberries, and leafy green vegetables. It is also commonly added to many processed foods as a preservative or to enhance their nutrient content. Ascorbic Acid supplements are also widely available and commonly used to prevent and treat vitamin C deficiency.
